The course at Cathkin Braes offers an 18-hole moorland style layout. Founded in 1888, it’s the oldest golf course in Glasgow. Although it was later redesigned by the famous golf architect James Braid.

Situated in Killermont, the club’s parkland course is renowned for its mature trees, fast, true greens and strategic bunkering. The course was laid out by Old Tom Morris in 1903. It has a par of 71 measuring 5,962 yards and provides a true test for golfers of all skill levels. 

The only bad thing is that it’s a private members club, so unfortunately you won’t be able to tee it up here unless you can bag yourself an invite!

4. Pollok Golf Club

Recognised as one of Scotland’s finest inland courses, it’s not the longest (it only reaches 5,542 from the back tees) but the par 66 means it doesn’t play short. The well-maintained fairways and USGA spec greens means that you can expect great conditions for a game anytime of year.
