Course overview
Norwood Park is set within the parkland estate of Norwood Hall in Southwell. The estate offers some picturesque surroundings and views for miles over the nearby hills and valleys.
Despite only opening in 1999, it's already gained the reputation as one of Nottinghamshire’s premier golfing destinations. Largely thanks to its magnificent layout, designed by Clyde B Johnston (past President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects).
One of the advantages of being a relatively new course is that it features USGA greens that remain in excellent condition throughout the year. Measuring 6,976 yards off the back black tees, it also has the ability to play long in modern course standards. Don’t worry though! The course is a more manageable 6,805 from the whites and 6,305 from the yellows.
The result is a modern course that blends perfectly within the historic parkland setting. It appeals (and caters) to golfers of all standards.
Even if you’re a beginner or fancy a bit of practice, you can even try your hand at the par 3 West Wood course. A nine hole par 3 course with USGA standard greens and holes ranging from 79 - 209 yards.
Afterwards why not enjoy a bite to eat or a drink in the clubhouse with its enclosed courtyard.
