Designed by David Thomas, the designer of The Belfry, Mottram Hall is another one of the golf architects fine pieces of work. Previously host to the PGA EuroPro Tour, the course is recognised as not only one of the best in the area, but also one of the best wedding venues and corporate facilities too. Some of the stand out holes include the 10th - a twisting dog leg par 5 culminating in a raised green and the par 4 13th which is a bit of a monster up the hill. Some great deals can be found at the club with common packages including breakfast and 18 holes, followed by a two course meal in one of the on site restaurants. If the golf hasn't gone too well, there's also the bar in the clubhouse for you to drown your sorrows in.
