Course overview
Founded in 1908, Carlisle Golf Club is a mature parkland course situated just half a mile from the M6 making it an excellent option to stop over on your way up or down the country. A picturesque course with tree lined fairways, a reputation for great greens alongside well maintained fairways, the golf course is one of the best inland courses in the North of England. Built from a clay base the course can suffer from at the hands of the Cumbrian weather, but excellent drainage ensures the course is playable more than most in the area. The welcoming clubhouse with a large windowed front overlooking the course is a well earned stop off after 18 holes.
