Course overview
Located 20 miles south of Bristol, Weston-super-Mare Golf Club is situated on the coast, close to the seafront and within walking distance of the nearby town centre.
Established in 1892, the course offers a true test of links golf with rolling fairways, superb greens and views across the Bristol Channel, past Brean Down, Steep Holm and Flat Holm towards Cardiff. The layout offers a challenging test of links golf and was redesigned by Alistair Mackenzie to bring the regular challenging wind conditions into play.
The overall impression when playing the course is of wide horizons and masses of (hopefully blue) sky. In summer the fairways are tight and the rough can be punishing. Whilst during the winter months, the course is rarely closed and the temporary greens aren’t often called into action, making Weston-super-Mare Golf Club an all year round destination.
