Course overview
Filey Golf Club was established in 1897, situated on land to the north of Filey, an old North Yorkshire fishing town. The course moved to its present site (to the south of Filey) two years later.
The original design of the current course was completed by famous golf architect James Braid. It has been modified over the years to take into account modern technology in the game, but done so in a way to retain the original Braid traits. Together, this makes it one of the best courses near Scarborough and the wider area.
Alongside the 18-hole course, the club offers a 9 hole “academy” short course alongside a suite of other great facilities including a 6 bay covered driving range.
