Royal Portrush Golf Club is one of the most excellent and challenging links golf courses, it is the only club in Ireland to have hosted Open Championship. Royal Portrush is a members club which welcomes visitors all year round. The Dunluce links is a surprise masterpiece. Having been voted number 12 in the world by Golf Magazine, it is a real gem of golf course architecture, with harsh and testing greens, and the combination of the fickle weather of the roaring North Atlantic make this course a brave test for even the most seasoned golfers. The second course, the Valley Links, sits between the East Strand and the Dunluce golf course in Portrush. The course is  between the impressive sand hills right along the Atlantic shore and the higher ground where the Championship course is. The nature of the holes on the course are situated over many humps and hollows with a stunning backdrop.
