Since 1891 golf has been played at The Machrie, the historic links combined with tradition, the course was originally designed by Willie Campbell. DJ Russell recently modernised the course, to keep up with the ever changing play.  A challenging, strategic play is needed for this well thought out, imaginative shot making course. One of  The Machrie's unique selling points is that this course offers challenge for the more mature players, as well as being suitable for all different ages and abilities. They also have the Wee course, which offers six par-3 holes which can be played from a multitude of tees. The club offers a short game area, a putting course and a 5-bay covered driving range.
