Course overview
Sandiway Golf Club is a 18-hole golf course, set in a mix of heath and woodland between the villages of Hartford and Sandiway on the Northwich bypass.
Established in 1920, Sandiway Golf Club is a very highly-rated as one of the best golf courses in Cheshire and has featured in the UK’s Top 100 courses. That has been supported by the fact that the club has been chosen to host a number of international, national, regional and local championships over the years. This includes the likes of Open Championship Qualifying, the Girls' British Open Championship, the PGA Club Professionals' Championship and a number of Cheshire County Championships.
The course features generous fairways which are tree-lined with mature oaks, beeches and birch trees, ready to catch any straying golf balls. The greens are small by modern standards, but are of a high quality expected on a championship course. The back nine is particularly picturesque, offering unrivalled views of Petty Pool (an old Cheshire mere) which forms a stunning backdrop as you navigate the turn.
