Course overview
Established in 1885, Hesketh Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Southport. Predominantly a links course the test is unique as the course occupies a more diverse landscape leading to a variety of different types of holes. Add in the wind (which can blow strong around here) and the complexity of the challenge only increases meaning you'll need your A-game to post a decent score. The course was recognised as one of the best in the area hosting Open Championship Qualifying when the top players in the world battled it out at the nearby Royal Birkdale for the claret jug. More recently the course has hosted the Junior Open and the Amateur Championship in conjunction with Hillside.
