Course overview

Milton Keynes isn’t known for being easy on the eye, but ten miles out of town lies Woburn Golf Club, a stunning three-course family-run club in beautiful Buckinghamshire. Hosting championship tournaments for 40 years, all three courses have earned plaudits as Woburn worked its way into the hearts of the golfing public.   Seve won his first British Masters here in 1986, so if you fancy trying to match the Spanish legend, the Duke’s Course offers nearly 7,000 yards of wonderful scenery as you tread the same path as 20 years of British Masters fields. The neighbouring Duchess’ Course puts more emphasis on line over length to present a different challenge. The most recent of the courses, the tree-lined Marquess’ has already earned a fine reputation and has hosted British Masters and Open qualifying tournaments – but be sure to have the drivers working as it stretches to over 7,200 yards.   There’s a friendly welcome in the Woburn Clubhouse, offering a range of levels of hospitality. Alternatively, if you’ve turned your back on your golf clubs, the Woburn Estate includes its own hotel, abbey and safari park, so for an all-round golfing break in Buckinghamshire, Woburn will tick every box.
