Course overview
Parkstone Golf Club is located within a few minutes drive from the seaside resort towns of Poole and Bournemouth.
Not only is the club known for being one of the best golf courses in the area, it’s also recognised as one of the finest courses on the South Coast. It ranks in both Golf Monthly and Golf World’s top 100 golf courses in Great Britain and Ireland and in England’s Top 100.
It’s no surprise given the CVs of the architects that have worked on the course at Parkston. It was originally designed in 1909 by Willie Park Jnr, before a number of famous golf architects; James Braid, Donald Steel and Martin Hawtree had input into a number of changes.
It’s a beautiful example of a mature heathland course, with fairways lined with mature pines and stunning panoramic views over Poole Harbour to Brownsea Island and the coastal downs of the Isle of Purbeck.
