Course overview
Chipping Sodbury Golf Club is one of the best golf courses near Bristol, situated just 12 miles northeast of the city, adjacent to the historic 17th century market town of Chipping Sodbury.
The club has a long chequered history that was heavily influenced by the war. It’s been twice re-formed and used 4 plots of land, but since 1971, the course has been situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty at the foot of the Cotswold Hills.
This Fred Hawtree designed parkland course presents a challenge to all levels of golfer. Subsequent maturing and development since opening has given a superb course where water hazards are a feature on many holes. The greens, though large, play smaller than their size, as many of them are raised slightly which makes scoring tricky.
