Course overview

Situated near the borders of Staffordshire and Shropshire, South Staffordshire Golf Club in Wolverhampton welcomes players of all levels to experience the warmth of its hospitality and the challenge of its stunning parkland course.

The 160-acre course, a masterpiece nestled in the Midlands, unfolds as a 6587-yard par 71 journey through tree-lined fairways and fast, true greens. Notable for its series of varied and challenging holes, including six par 4s over 400 yards long from the medal tees, South Staffs demands a blend of skill and imagination from golfers.

Crafted in 1908 by the legendary Harry Vardon, most of the course's holes remain true to the original layout, evoking a sense of golfing history and nostalgia.

Beyond the fairways, South Staffordshire Golf Club offers a comprehensive golfing experience. Players can warm up in practice areas, explore the well-stocked pro shop, and even take lessons at the esteemed Peter Baker Golf Academy.

The clubhouse, a haven for relaxation after the challenges of the course, welcomes new faces at the bar and in its first-class dining areas. Whether it's a well-earned thirst-quencher, a snack, or a sit-down evening meal, the clubhouse provides the perfect setting to unwind and share tales of the day's play.
