Ranked in the top 3 parkland courses in Ireland, the Ryder Cup course at The K Club is one of the best in the country. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the course (as its name suggests) has gone on to host tournaments at the pinnacle of golf. Host to the 2006 Ryder Cup the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open and more than 10 other European Opens the course has truly been at the heart of the elite golf calendar.

Unsurprisingly the course is a tricky one. It’s unlikely you’ll want to brave a round from the back tees as it reaches a dizzying 7,337 yards with a standard scratch of 76 (+4). Though still fairly long, thankfully the course shortens to 6,815 yards from the regular tee pegs. It’s not all about yardage here though, the resort is one of the UK’s best and if you can afford to stay here, you’re bound to enjoy it!
