Course overview
The Mere Golf Course is set in 150 acres of Cheshire parkland and was designed by James Braid in 1934.
Today, the Championship course has a reputation as one of the best golf courses in Cheshire and the North of England, acknowledged with the hosting of Regional Open Qualifying. The course itself is lined by mature trees with stunning views over the Mere Lake. The layout is sure to test your precision and driving skills, with water, ravines and thick rough incorporated into the design.
The facilities at The Mere are second to none offering players a complete “floating golf ball” driving range (hitting into the lake), a two-tier chipping green, a putting green and bunker practice area where players can warm up before a round. The on-site hotel is also a fanatic stay, which has led the venue to rank in the Top 100 Golf Resorts in the UK and Ireland.
