Course overview

Ganton, situated in the Vale of Pickering between York and Scarborough. It ranks among the very best of Britain's inland courses. Historically it has been host to both Amateur and Professional tournaments. Following the staging of the Walker Cup, the Club is one of the few that have been honoured to have also staged the Curtis Cup and the Ryder Cup. Golfers from all over the world come to play the wonderful challenge that is offered by Ganton. On four occasions The Ladies' British Open Amateur Championship has been played at Ganton, most recently in 2010 when Kelly Tidy gained the title. Ganton has also hosted the Amateur Championship 3 times and is the only inland Club to have been honoured with this event. Other prestigious amateur events include International Matches, the Vagliano Trophy in 1995, the Curtis Cup in 2000, the Boy's Championship in 2001 and in 2003 the Walker Cup.
