Course overview
With its dune style mounds and dramatic landscapes, The Smurfit is the second course at the K Club designed by Arnold Palmer often described as an inland links course. The mounds make for great spectator viewing so it’s no surprise the course has also hosted a number of European Opens amongst other tournaments in its time.
The Ryder Cup course at the K Club is probably higher up on most people’s wish lists, but The Smurfit is no pushover, measuring in at a lengthy 7,277 yards. Seven of the last nine are also guarded by water making it tough but fair course and equally memorable within its own right.
